5G UL Tx Switching Log Analysis Workshop

This hands-on workshop helps engineers understand 5G UL Tx switching features and procedures. We analyze log information related to UE capability, configurations, and data transmission based on release 16 and release 17 specifications. We also build on the knowledge acquired from our 5G UL Tx Switching Technical Training course and further explore how UL Tx switching features can improve uplink performance.

What You Will Learn:

Through the analysis of log files, you will learn about the following topics and procedures related to UL Tx switching:

  • Release 16 Features:
    • UE capability exchange, UL Tx switching configurations, switching period, and release
    • UL data transmission, including UL Tx switching triggers, UL symbol loss, UL timing advance, and DL data interruption
    • DL data transmission, including HARQ feedback and K1 values
    • UE capability power class and maximum allowed UE Tx Power
    • UL Tx switching mobility handover scenarios
  • Release 17 Features: UL Tx switching UE capability, configuration, and data transmission
